BBQ Pork Ribs on a Gas Grill By Dave Franks TN Ingredients: For Marinate: ½ cup paprika 4 tbsp salt 4 tbsp 6 peppers 2 tbsp garlic powder 2 tbsp powdered mustard 4 tbsp ground cumin 1 cup apple cider vinegar 2 cups water 6 tbsp liquid smoke Directions: Mix all dry items, then add to liquid and bring to a boil. Cut it off and let it cool. Cut your ribs in half, and place in a 1 gal ziplock bag. Use 2 slabs. Pour your marinate in them and mash out all the air you can. Zip it up. Let it sit in the fridge overnight. Fire up your grill, both burners on high. I use a piece of hickory about 2 ½ x 2 ½ x 16. You can use chips, or whatever you have. Get it to smoking good. Now put your ribs on the top rack with the burners down to low. Leave it for 1 hour. Remove and place on doubled heavy duty aluminum foil. Make 2 packs. Add about ½ cup of your marinate and seal real good. Place on a sheet pan. If you can control your grill, set it on 350 for 1 hour. If you can’t, put it in the oven. After 1 hour open. (Watch out for the steam!). See if you can slip a bone out with ease. If not, go back in the oven for 30 minutes. Try again. When ready, drain of juices and roll back the foil and brush with bar-b-q eating sauce. With BROILER on high, let it dry some. Don’t let it burn. The sauce with sugar will burn very easy.
