3-2-1 Chili ! A very easy recipe for thick, meaty, hearty chili. Could be low-fat if ground turkey is substituted for beef. Just remember, the longer you cook it, the thicker it gets! History: I have won 3 Blue Ribbons in chili cookoff contests with this recipe. I know you'll love it too! Tips: Vary spices to your liking. The basic recipe is not spicy hot. Add more pepper for heat. Add only half the sugar to start, then add more as desired. For me, the sweeter the tastier. Ingredients 2 tsp Each - Salt, Pepper 2 tbsp Each - Chili Powder , Sugar 1 lb(s) Lean Ground Beef or Turkey 1 can(s) Tomato Soup, 10 3/4 oz 3 can(s) Red kidney beans (Undrained) 15 oz cans 2 can(s) Stewed Tomatoes, Italian/Mexican style, 14 1/2oz Preparation Steps 1) Brown ground beef, drain, put in 4 quart pot 2) Add all other ingredients without draining ANYTHING! 3) Adjust spices to your liking. Sugar reduces the acidity of tomatoes. 4) Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly! 5) Once boiling, reduce heat to simmer, and cover pot. 6) Simmer for 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes to prevent burning on bottom. 7) After 2 hours, remove cover and continue to simmer until desired thickness.
