Grilled Banana Split Ingredients: 6 bananas (slightly green for added firmness) 1 cup maple syrup ½ cup rum ¼ cup sugar ½ tsp. cinnamon ¼ tsp. nutmeg Preparation: In a bowl, combine the maple syrup, rum and sugar. Add in the cinnamon and nutmeg, and blend well. Peel and place the bananas on the grill until slightly brown. Once browned, cut bananas in half on a diagonal, and place them in the marinade. Leave in until they are cool. To finish the banana split, arrange the bananas on top of a bowl of vanilla ice cream, and spoon any extra marinade over the top. You can also add whipped topping and freshly toasted coconut, if desired. Yield: 6 servings
